The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help with locating the family of a man killed in a crash in unincorporated West Palm Beach Sunday afternoon.

The single-vehicle crash happened around 4:30 p.m. at South Military Trail and Purdy Lane.

Officials say the driver, Santiago Ramos, drove through a chain-link fence before crashing into a tree.

Ramos was transported to St. Mary's Medical Center in critical condition. He had not been identified at the time of the crash.

The passenger, Oscar Antunes, was transported to Wellington Regional Hospital with minor injuries.

On Thursday, Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office vehicle homicide investigator received a call from St. Mary's Medical Center Trauma Unit updating the status on the victim.

According to a St. Mary's Medical Center trauma nurse, Ramos died Thursday of the injuries sustained in the crash.

Investigators have not been able to locate Ramos' family.

If anyone knows Santiago Ramos or has information about his family is urged to contact PBSO at 688-3400 or Investigator Allison Loudermilk at 681-4500.
