WEST PALM BEACH, Fla— “We were just cooped up inside and a little bit of anxiety and all of that good stuff, so we had actually just called a couple of the stores here and Ross answered so it’s something to do,” said Dina Jacobs.

Ross and Nordstrom Rack were part of a handful of stores at the outlet mall off Palm Beach Lakes back open Tuesday.

“I have family coming into town this week and it gives us something to do and I figured no crowd,” said Jacobs.

Jacobs is like so many Floridians living in South Florida who just want to get back into their routine after spending days preparing for the possibility of Dorian making landfall in the area.

“Just a little bit of trees fell and that’s it,” said Jazmine Scott.

Scott and her boyfriend decided to venture to WAWA to satisfy a sweet tooth before it’s back to work on Wednesday.

“Yea Dunkin Donuts on Northlake we will be up and running at 5 a.m.,” said Scott.

Several different grocery stores like Publix, Whole Foods and Target will be reopening Wednesday, as well as fast-food chains like Chick-fil-A.
