Flights out of Palm Beach International Airport and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport were severely impacted by Saturday's snow.

Dozens of flights were canceled or delayed. People traveling to New York, DC and Philadelphia were told they would have to wait until airports reopened or to find alternative travel plans.

At Palm Beach International Airport, all flights to Washington D.C. and New York-area airports are canceled until around 7:30 p.m.. Later flights are delayed.

Some we spoke with said the earliest available flight was Tuesday or Wednesday.

Bobbi Young was hoping to get on a flight to Atlantic City today. She's won't be able to travel until Tuesday.

"I was very disappointed," said Young. "I really was upset but I had my little cry and now I'm fine. I've got my seek-a-words, my coffee, so i'm comfortable, I'm fine. It's going to be a long two days but I'll do it."

She plans to sleep on a chair at the airport. Young doesn't want anyone to worry.

"I didn't tell any of my family, or anything, or my friends," said Young.

Sharon Distler's flight to Connecticut was over an hour delayed. She's traveling with her 7-year-old son. "It's definitely going to be a challenge, getting in late tonight and having both of us to have to get up for school," explained Distler.

Haley Chartoff's flight to Boston was also delayed. She'll be arriving after 2 a.m.

"It will be a tiring day," said Chartoff. "I'll be dragging a little bit. it's alright, I'll make it up the next night."

Hotels near Palm Beach International Airport have availability. Many say they're more full than usual with travelers waiting to get on the next flight to D.C, New York and New Jersey.

Airlines are asking customers to check flight status' regularly or call their 1-800 number.
