Security video released after fire truck shot

Posted

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Police have released surveillance video which could help them track down whoever shot at a West Palm Beach fire truck.

It's not exactly clear where the gunfire originated. But police would like to speak to the occupants of a Suburban SUV that passed the fire truck as it was parked at a Publix on Southern Boulevard last month, according to police.

A captain was inside the emergency vehicle but was not injured.

Police would also like to question a man who may have witnessed the shooting and the driver of a van who passed by the fire truck. Both were seen on the surveillance video released by police.

Anyone with information is urged to call Detective Vertefeuille at 822-1673 or Palm Beach County Crime Stoppers at 800.458.TIPS.
