A Forest Hill High School student remains hospitalized after he was hit by an apparent drunk and unlicensed driver.
Frank Velasquez and a friend were next to a parked car when Jonathan Perez Morelos crashed into the two teens, severing one of Velasquez Lopez's legs.
According to a friend, Velasquez remains heavily sedated after undergoing surgery.
The other teen injured has since been released from the hospital.
Perez Morelos is facing charges of DUI, leaving the scene of an accident with serious injuries and operating a motor vehicle without a license. He is being held without bond.
A GoFundMe account has been set up to help Velasquez Lopez's medical expenses.
