The West Palm Beach Police Department is investigating a shooting that injured a 14-year-old boy Tuesday evening.
The shooting happened at 5:09 p.m. along the 700 block of 43rd St.
Officials said the teen was struck by a bullet while trying to help a victim get away from his attackers. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment. His injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
