The second suspect in a nearly 8-year-old murder is back in Palm Beach County.
Thaddeus James appeared before a judge Tuesday, he was arrested in Ocala last week.
James and another man, Erik Jackson, have been charged in the 2008 murder of Irma Simeus.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office says Simeus was found stabbed in the trunk of a car. Investigators say James and Jackson burglarized homes and would give Simeus the stolen items to sell; the group would then split the cash.
Deputies say the two men killed Simeus after a money dispute in 2008. According to an arrest affidavit, the men used a stun device and a knife to murder Simeus.
James is being held without bond and is awaiting to be assigned an attorney.
