Traffic stop leads to seizure of guns, arrest

A man was arrested in Fort Pierce after detectives say narcotics and firearms were found inside his residence during a search warrant. 

Officials with the Crime Suppression and Alcohol Tobacco & Firearms conducted a traffic stop after seeing 29-year-old Antonio Jerome Thomas driving in the area of N. 13th Street and Avenue K at approximately 6:30 p.m. Thursday. 

According to detectives, Thomas had four outstanding search warrants for sale and delivery and possession of cocaine. 

Detectives executed a search warrant at Thomas residence located on 1400 Ave I, Apartment B,  seizing narcotics and firearms. 

Among the items seized were a AK-47 style pistol, an AR-15 style pistol with a loaded 100 drum magazine Springfield XD.40 caliber Smith Wesson .30 caliber, 2 grams of cocaine and 0.5 grams of MDMA.

Thomas was charged with four counts of possession with intent to sell, manufacture, or deliver a controlled substance, three counts of possession of cocaine and two counts of possession with intent to sell, manufacture, or deliver a synthetic narcotic.
