Water stays on at WPB Condos for now

Posted

The water is still on for now at the Green Terrace Condominiums in West Palm Beach.

Yesterday residents spent the day preparing for the shut-off that never happened, buying bottled water.

The HOA President says she can't pay the water bill, now close to $30,000 though residents say the HOA does have the money.

The city was supposed to turn off the water Thursday.

"It's a big inconvenience," says City Administrator Jeff Green.

He felt it was necessary to give people more time to prepare especially during this time of the year.

"We go to extreme length not to have to cut people off especially when its the Summer when it's so hot."

If the city does turn off the water next week, Green says residents have 10 days to vacate the property.
