WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — West Palm Beach Mayor Keith James says he’s had enough of all the illegal dumping throughout his city.

On Tuesday, Mayor James announced Operation Clean Streets, an effort to crackdown on the problem.

The mayor is also encouraging you to do the same, offering $100 rewards for people who anonymously report illegal dumping that's captured on camera. Mayor James said the city is working with law enforcement and the Public Works Department on the illegal dumping crackdown.

"What really irks me is they feel there are certain parts of my city, our beautiful city, that they think this behavior is appropriate," said Mayor James. "It is not. It will not be tolerated and we're cracking down on it."

City leaders said illegal dumping has negative effects on public health and can be a breeding ground for disease, mosquitoes, and rodents.
