William T. Dwyer High School student dies following medical emergency

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — A William T. Dwyer High School student has died, according to a statement from the school.

The school says the student passed away Tuesday following a medical emergency.

According to the school district, the student was transported to the hospital by paramedics and died at the hospital.

Counseling and bereavement support services will be available to all students and staff, according to an email the school sent to students and staff.

The student's name has not been released.

Dear Dwyer Panther Family,

It is with much sadness that I write this letter to let you know that one of our students has passed away after having a medical emergency today. Our deepest condolences and thoughts go out to the family, friends, and staff members who knew the student. During this time, as our school community processes the tragic news, and copes with grief, we are offering counseling and bereavement support services to all of our students and staff for the remainder of the week. At William T. Dwyer High School, we are a family that grieves our loses together. Thanking you in advance for the support.
