EARLIER STORY:
Police said two women were robbed at knifepoint Tuesday morning at a home in West Palm Beach.
West Palm Beach Sgt. David Lefont said the robbery occurred at 7:36 a.m. at a home in the 5200 block of S. Flagler Drive.
Police said the victims were inside their home when two men, armed with knives, broke in. Investigators said the crooks tied the women up and ransacked the home.
"It's terrifying, it's absolutely terrifying," said Joe Pregadio, who lives in the area. "I have a wife and two teenage daughters. So immediately after learning they're OK, just thinking about our own safety."
The robbers fled the area with undisclosed items. No one was injured during the incident.
Sgt. Lefont said this is an active investigation, so police can only release limited information.
