INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, Fla. — A child was flown to the hospital after getting hit by a car near Vero Beach on Friday, authorities say.
According to Indian River County Fire Rescue, the child was run over just after 12 p.m. in the 500 block of 39th Court.
Paramedics flew the victim to St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach.
The child's age and condition have not been released.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
