Vero Beach police released the dashcam video and pictures involving two of their officers arrested last week.

On the dashcam video released by Vero Beach police, you see a Vero Beach police officer, approaching an off-duty colleague he suspects of being intoxicated.

“It’s a DUI in this case do you understand that?  Yes sir," can be heard on the tape.

This is on Oct. 9, and the responding driver is Officer Nick Knutsen who will take a sobriety test after he had been out at a local bar.

“The walk and turn, we’re going to do the horizontal," says the on duty officer.

Knutsen had been out looking for his friend, fellow Officer Joshua Harris. The two had been out together.

Harris was walking home when he turned down a ride from his girlfriend, a fellow officer who was on duty at the time.
Harris was charged with disorderly intoxication and criminal mischief for damaging her patrol car, smashing off the mirror with his hand.

“Keep your hands at your side, look down at your foot and count backward from 30 one more time OK," orders the officer to Knutsen. After a minute, you see Knutsen hop off the line several times. He was arrested for DUI.

As to the fate of the two officers, a few more interviews need to be conducted before the internal investigation wraps up by the end of the week or early next week.
