INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, Fla. — The Indian River County Sheriff's Office said a person was killed in a vehicle versus pedestrian wreck Monday morning.
The crash occurred in the westbound lanes of State Road 60 west of 120nd Avenue.
The sheriff's office said westbound lanes were closed from 102nd Avenue through 146th Avenue.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the deadly crash.
According to FHP, 50-year-old Christopher James Frey of Fort Pierce was walking southbound across the westbound lanes of SR 60 and walked into the path of the vehicle.
He was struck by the left front side of the vehicle and died of his injuries.
