INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, Fla. — The fight to stop Brightline from traveling through Indian River County is over.
County leaders have agreed to drop a lawsuit against the rail company.
As part of an agreement, Brightline would pay $31 million to make safety upgrades to more than 30 crossings.
The county spent millions fighting Brightline and even tried to take its lawsuit to the Supreme Court of the United States.
