Three Indian River County deputies were hospitalized Thursday evening following a multi-vehicle crash involving two patrol vehicles and a non-officer vehicle.
The incident happened at the intersection of 57th Street and 58th Avenue.
Officials say the three deputies were taken to Indian River Medical Center with minor injuries, mainly as a precaution.
Two other people in a unmarked sport-utility vehicle were not injured. They drove away on their own and did not want medical attention.
According to authorities, the wreck was one of the deputy's fault and it appeared to be a "domino effect" crash.
"One deputy likely hit the back of a SUV, which pushed the SUV into the car in front of it," said a trooper.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
