Indian River County to offer COVID-19 vaccine for people 65 and over

VERO BEACH, Fla. — The Florida Department of Health Indian River County announced Thursday it will hold COVID-19 vaccination clinics for people 65 and older.

Vaccination will take place Friday, Jan. 8, at the Indian River Fairgrounds located at 7955 58th Avenue, just north of 77th Street, in Vero Beach. 58th Avenue is currently closed from 81st Street to 85th Street (County Road 510).

Individuals 65 and older who wish to be vaccinated should make an appointment online Friday beginning at 10 a.m.

Individuals must also bring identification, such as a driver's license, passport, etc., and a complete COVID-19 Vaccine Screening and Consent Form.

Please Note:

• If there are no appointments available when you try to register, please continue to check back on the Indian River County website as new appointments will be released once additional vaccines are confirmed.

• There is no waitlist and walk-ups are not accepted.
