An adult and a teenager are under arrest following a violent home invasion robbery in Vero Beach that left two victims with stab wounds, according to police.
The suspects, one of whom was wearing a mask, entered a home in the 1800 block of 31st Ave around 2 p.m. Monday, police said.
While attempting to steal from the home at least three occupants either encountered or confronted the pair and two were stabbed several times, investigators said.
They were taken to a hospital for treatment of puncture wounds.
They said they recognized one of the suspects which led detectives to 19-year-old Jorge Lazaro Casales. Police have charged him with home invasion robbery, aggravated battery, and false imprisonment. He's being held at the Indian River County Jail on $225,000 bond,
Investigators found the second suspect who was taken to the Department of Juvenile Justice.
