JENSEN BEACH, Fla. -- Families gathered in Jensen Beach on Saturday for the 11th annual "Surfers for Autism" event.
About 200 participants on the autism spectrum showed up for a day of fun and surfing.
Each participant was paired up with a volunteer to hang loose and surf without having to worry about being judged.
The event kicked off the Surfers for Autism's 11-event surf season throughout Florida.
