The Florida Highway Patrol said a Lake Worth woman was killed in crash involving a dump truck Wednesday night on State Road 710 in Martin County.
According to the FHP report, Leann Frances Golicic, 44, of Lake Worth was driving a 2009 Scion XD east on State Road 710.
A dump truck was heading in the same direction at about 8:38 p.m.
FHP said Golicic was driving faster than the dump truck when the front of her Scion hit the back of the truck.
After the crash, the Golicic’s vehicle came to a rest in the road.
She was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. It's unclear if Golicic was under the influence, but the FHP report said the dump truck driver did not have alcohol in his system.
No charges have been filed.
