Public meetings scheduled for Lake Okeechobee Watershed Restoration Project

The Army Corps of Engineers is accepting comments and holding meetings regarding the Lake Okeechobee Watershed Restoration Project.

A series of public meetings regarding the project are scheduled from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the following locations at dates:

Lee County Mosquito and Hyacinth Control Districts

Lehigh Acres, FL 33971

Aug.1

Wolf High-Technology Center

Stuart, FL 34997

Aug. 2
Indian River State College
Williamson Conference and Education Center

Okeechobee, FL 34972

The Corps is accepting comments on the draft documents until Aug. 20.
