A dead manatee was found in a Stuart waterway Saturday morning.
According to a witness, the manatee was spotted at the Riverside Shores neighborhood.
Crews pulled the dead manatee from water polluted by toxic blue-green algae.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is performing a necropsy on the manatee and says it may take weeks to determine the cause of death.
