STUART, Fla. -- A McDonald's employee has admitted to stealing money from her employer in Stuart.
Stuart Police say they received a call from a manager at the McDonald's restaurant located inside the Walmart SuperCenter located at 4001 SE Federal Highway in Stuart, reporting that an employee has been stealing money from the store.
The manager told police that Terra L. Cooper of Stuart had been taking money from daily deposits since November 2015.
Police say it was discovered that Cooper stole between $14,000 and possibly over $50,000 during that time.
After being interviewed, Cooper admitted to stealing money, but was unsure of the total amount she took.
Cooper was arrested and charged with Grand Theft. She is being held at the Martin County Jail with a $10,000 bond.
Police say the case is still being investigated to determine exactly how much money was taken.
