As you step outside Tuesday, you will certainly notice the strong winds affecting South Florida and the Treasure Coast.
Those conditions have fire crews staying on alert for any flare-up or developing wildfires.
There are currently no fire watches or warnings issued for Tuesday at this time.
The Florida Forest Service says conditions for fires in our area range from very high in Martin and Indian River counties to moderate in St. Lucie County.
On Monday, the Florida Forest Service responded to the scene at one of last week’s St. Lucie County fires after hot spots popped up in the containment area. Firefighters dug through the dirt to find the source, and that fire is 100 percent contained.
The Florida Forest Service responded to about a dozen wildfires throughout our area last week. The agency will release its official season outlook next week.
