JUPITER FARMS, Fla. — An 11-year-old girl was killed in a crash in Jupiter Farms on Wednesday night, authorities say.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, a Honda CBR1000 motorcycle, driven by Matthew Vetter, 32, was traveling at a high rate of speed in the 10000 block of Randolph Siding Road just after 8 p.m.

Investigators said a Toyota Sienna, driven by Leah Carver, 43, tried to turn into a driveway, and the motorcycle slammed into the vehicle.

Vetter was thrown from his motorcycle into a canal, where he was pronounced deceased.
