JUPITER, Fla. — One of WPTV's star photographers was in the right place at the right time Wednesday night to capture an amazing weather moment off the coast of Palm Beach County.
Photojournalist Kaan Pala was in Jupiter looking to the east and captured the simultaneous moment a thunderstorm was brewing as the moon rose over the Atlantic Ocean.
His picture shows a lightning strike on the left with a beautiful, glowing moon to the right.
Kaan said in a tweet that, "These pictures are not from a sunrise nor a sunset. It’s from tonight’s moonrise ... Two different lenses and apertures..."
Simply, gorgeous! Thanks for sharing, Kaan!
