Jupiter High School was gifted more than 300 thousand dollars.
The money will go towards the Perry Cohen Wetlands Laboratory.
Cohen and his friend, Austin Stephanos went missing at sea while boating near the Jupiter Inlet in 2015.
This donation will be used to create a retention pond for an outdoor classroom and lab in honor of Perry's deep love for the sea.
"I would trade everything in the world to have him here, but he was a really special person, and very kind, loved the environment, loved fishing, loved everything about the outdoors since he was a baby. This was just a perfect opportunity," said Pamela Cohen, Perry's mother.
Last fall, the first phase of the project was completed.
