WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Closing arguments are expected to start Tuesday in the murder trial for Christopher Vasata, one of the suspects charged in a triple homicide on Super Bowl Sunday in 2017.
Vasata is facing three counts of first-degree murder. He and Marcus Steward are charged in the slayings.
On Friday, a Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office forensic scientist told jurors that every item she tested for DNA she compared to multiple DNA profiles, including those of the suspected shooters, the victims, the host of the party, and the man Vasata's attorney claims was also involved.
Prosecutors used the DNA evidence to rule out a third suspect.
