Roofers busy due to all of the rain

Bob Reynolds just bought this house in Jupiter. Plans of moving in could be delayed due to a couple of leaks from rain. Reynolds said, "It was venturing around there, coming in through here. There's obviously some hole or some leak in this area of the window."

Reynolds called a roofing company--- and quickly found out he's among many complaining of these heavy rains getting inside homes. Homeowners want the problem fixed right away.

Leo Roofing and Construction says phone calls have increased 50 percent in the last few weeks. Owner Frank Leo said,  "They want us yesterday. And we try to get there as soon as we possibly can, we have a few extra repair trucks now going around because of the demand."

There are things homeowners can do. He added, "Put the bucket out, give us a call, be patient. A lot of roofers are busy right now."

He warns that  homeowners should not take matters into their own hands. "Don't do it yourself, don't go up there and get on that ladder." If multiple leaks are found, they will put a tarp on the house."It's a piece of mind having a good roof over your head. and people do get, it's very emotional but we want to make sure that at least we can give you this protection for now and we can set up the real repair at a later date."

As for Reynolds... "It is what it is. I never cry over spilled milk. I cry over water, but not spilled milk."
