Burt Reynolds fan Elaine Buff is still coping with the death of the late actor. "I've been a fan of his for so long. I still get welled up, I'm sorry.
"I've had the privilege of meeting him a few times."
What better way to pay tribute to the late actor, than in the movie theater.
The Cinepolis Theater in Jupiter is playing five of his movies in one day. General Manager Lucio Quinones said: "There are a lot of people who wanted to say goodbye, say farewell to him. I think this is one of the best ways that we could do it."
Quinones says he met Reynolds one day in the theater. "It was a great honor to see him come in here you know go with the family and go and sit down and watch a movie."
The same theater is now remembering the local icon's incredible film career.
John Haug showed up at the theater to watch one of the movies. "You always wanted to see his movies. Didn't matter what it was about."
Another fan, Cheryl Wigen said: "We like him and he was a part of the community in Jupiter and we like his movies." Elaine Buff added, "This is his home and we are really all going to miss him so much."
The last Burt Reynolds movie this theater will show is Wednesday at 10:45 p-m.
