TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — A Palm Beach County man just claimed the top prize in a Florida Lottery scratch-off game: $500,000!

According to a new release from lottery officials, Thuy Hoang, 45, of North Palm Beach, was in Tallahassee to claim his check in the $500,000 PAYDAY Scratch-Off game.

Hoang purchased his winning ticket from a Stop Wise store located at 9762 Gardens East Dr. in Palm Beach Gardens.

The $5 game, $500,000 PAYDAY, features six top prizes of $500,000 and more than $57.9 million in total cash prizes. The game's overall odds of winning are one-in-4.03.

Odds of winning the top prize are 1-in-2,800,000.
