Santa Claus made an early stop in Lake Park.
He was there to help deliver more than one-thousand toys and stuffed animals to children.
Volunteers from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office were along to provide the holiday spirit.
The gifts were brought in on a special fire truck that could also entertain children.
Deputy Tom McElroy said that during a recent call he discovered a mother of four who could not afford to buy a Christmas tree. "It really hit my heart, I really wanted to try and do something for that family.
"So I got together with my partners at work and decided to take it upon ourselves to get a Christmas tree, decorations, and presents for the family."
The toys were donated by Sweets Foundation and the Lake Park PetSmart.
