Boil water notice for some in PB Gardens

Posted
and last updated

About 160 residents living in Palm Beach Gardens will be without water for a few hours Wednesday and then will have to boil their water.

Water utility crews are planning to replace a water valve between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The change will affect people living in the Sandlewood community, specifically those living on Meridian Way South.

After the work is performed, a precautionary boil water advisory will go into effect.

Residents in this area are advised to boil their water for one minute before using.

It’s also a good idea to flush your lines. Just turn on your faucets allow the water to run for a few minutes or until you see it to be clear.

If you have water fountains or public ice machines, turn those off as well until the advisory is lifted.

The city will advise those affected when it is safe to drink the tap water without boiling it.

Boil Water Advisory on Thursday

On Thursday, utility workers will do similar repairs on Meridian Way North, affecting about 150 customers.

Service will be interrupted from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. due to new valve installation.   The boil water advisory will go into effect for these residents when service is restored around 2 p.m.

Please call the Seacoast Utility Authority 561-627-2900 if you have questions or concerns.
