Former officer Nouman Raja wants change in house arrest

A former Palm Beach Gardens police officer under house arrest, while awaiting his trial in the death of stranded motorist Corey Jones, wants more freedom.

Nouman Raja's attorney is asking a judge to allow him to attend his children's performances at summer camp.

Prosecutors are objecting They say Jones never gets to participate in family functions.
  
Jones was shot to death by Raja last year at a traffic stop. He was charged with attempted first-degree murder and manslaughter.
   
Raja's attorney says his client is not a flight risk.
