Grounds crew at PGA National had their work cut out for them Thursday.

More than 100 people worked overnight to get about 800 acres of the golf course back to its pristine shape.

PGA officials say 2.2 inches fell in the area Wednesday.

"For the players, unfortunately it's going to be a completely different golf course because the moisture content.  For example, in the bunkers yesterday, they were not as nearly as tight as they are this morning with all the rain that we had. Same thing with the greens, the greens are still really really good, just not that firmness they practiced on," said Brad Nelson, director of agronomy at PGA National.

Play during the Honda Classic Cares Pro Am had to be canceled due to the storm.

The first round of the Honda Classic began at 6:45 a.m.

Thursday is also Military Appreciation Day.
