PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — The Palm Beach Gardens police said a driver, who was possibly drunk, ran into one of their patrol cars early Saturday morning.
The department said the driver of the vehicle ran a red light at 4:15 a.m. at the intersection on N. Military Trail and Lilac Street.
Pictures show heavy front-end damage to the police vehicle.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office is investigating the wreck, according to police.
The tweet says "officers are recovering" from the wreck but did not say how badly they were hurt.
Officers are recovering after another driver ran a red light and crashed into them.
