Palm Beach Gardens High School is one of the only schools out at the Honda Classic doing fundraising.

Out here, students aren't the only ones getting involved - parents are also stepping up.

"We run the grill, we wrap the food, and then we got a group of people up here serving it," says parent Deborah Hawks. "So we have three teams running the concession."

At their 10th hole concession stand, a portion of the sales here going towards Project Graduation, an all night party thrown for Gardens High seniors.

"We want to make sure that their graduation is safe and memorable for them," parent Shari Alexius says.

Across the course, another group of Gardens parents putting in the volunteer hours at the entrance to the classic.

"Our job today is to check any bags that are not allowed into the course," parent Lynn Vaccaro tells us.

Vaccaro is hoping that the couple thousand they raise through volunteering goes a long way at the Title I school.

"A lot of times kids can't afford to go one trips or competitions or things like that, so this money that we raise helps offset some of those costs," she says.Though these parents know their job will only get harder as the week gets busier, they say It's worth it.

It shows the impact of the Classic in Palm Beach Gardens goes beyond dollars, and for these parents, makes a whole lot of sense.
