TEQUESTA, Fla. — A 35-year-old veteran of the Iraq War and Tequesta postal worker is being remembered as a dedicated husband and father and someone who always to help others.

"He always wanted to help people and to try and take away their pain,” Kathy Sessums told NewsChannel 5 about her husband Brian.

Brian Sessums was killed last Friday in a motorcycle crash along Alternate A1A in Jupiter.

An Army veteran, Kathy says her husband was considered 90 percent disabled, with injuries to his back and hips and PTSD.

The couple has two small boys and is expecting a daughter this September, to be named Colby, a name Brian had picked.

“He was ecstatic I’m so glad we picked out a name he was very opinionated on that,” Kathy says.

A funeral service is planned for this Saturday and his fellow postal workers are planning a tribute to Brian before the service.
