Highway 441 reopens in Okeechobee County after fatal crash

OKEECHOBEE COUNTY, Fla. -- A 23-year-old Sebring man died Sunday morning in a crash in Okeechobee County.

Florida Highway Patrol says the unidentified driver was traveling northbound on US-441 at 7:30 a.m. in a 2013 Dodge Durango.

The driver of the Durango struck the rear of a 2013 Ford Fusion that was just in front of him.

The driver of the Fusion their two passengers received minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital.

The driver of the Durango died as a result of his injuries.

The highway was closed for several hours for an investigation of the crash.
