More than two dozen dogs rescued from Puerto Rico right after Hurricane Maria are now ready to be adopted at Tri-County Animal Rescue in western Boca Raton.
The dogs were not able to be placed in homes because of the storm.
The dogs were picked up at the Miami International Airport Saturday afternoon and taken to the Tri-County Animal Rescue on Boca Rio Road in Boca Raton.
Most of the pets seeking a forever home are 9 months old and medium to large-sized dogs.
