Boca Raton police are investigating two robberies this week that they believe were committed by the same person.

The first happened on Monday, June 20 and the second on Tuesday, June 21.

The first victim told detectives she met the suspect through an online dating service. When he went to her home, he pointed a gun at her and demanded money. When she told him she didn't have any, they drove to a nearby bank where he forced her to withdraw several hundred dollars from the ATM.

Once they returned to her home, the suspect left in a silver Volkswagen Beetle.

The second crime happened at the Boca Inn, where the two victims arranged to meet the suspect through the website "Backpage."

Police said once the suspect was inside the victims room, he pointed a gun at them and demanded money. The victims did not have any money and the suspect eventually left in a silver Volkswagen Beetle.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, about 18 to 26 years old with black curly hair, medium color skin, and was described as having a thick build. He was last seen wearing a navy blue or black t-shirt with jeans.

The suspect was driving a newer model silver Volkswagen Beetle with a possible black convertible top.
