A Channel 5 viewer came to us worried about an intersection just south of Yamato Road and Technology Way in Boca Raton after two crashes there in the last two weeks.
She says it’s confusing and dangerous.
“I want to say controlled chaos but it’s not controlled, it’s completely uncontrolled. It’s a circus!” Dawn Hambaugh said in an interview. “I drive this intersection every day.”
Drivers are seemingly mistaken on whose right-of-way it is. We saw several instances where cars without a stop-sign would stop for the cars with a stop-sign. It caused confusion and frustrated drivers.
A crash Friday left a light pole down and through a fence.
Boca Raton Police told us they take the complaint seriously. They’ll address concern and see if there’s a way to make the intersection operate better.
“Of course things take time, like there’s not going to be a resolution overnight but you’re not going to get any solution if you don’t start working on it,” Dawn said.
