A Boca Raton woman is facing multiple charges of animal cruelty after Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control says officers found 10 dead dogs in her home.
In August, officers executed a search warrant at the home of Dolores Saverese on West Camino Real and found 19 dogs, 10 of them dead. The dogs were a variety of breeds.
Officers say they found the dogs locked inside crates.
"The house is deplorable. The living conditions are deplorable. It's just a bad situation for animals to be in and it's very obvious that there was neglectful conditions very consistent with animal hoarding," Capt. Dave Walesky said at the time.
In their report, animal control officers say Saverese poses a "serious threat" to animals.
She also faces charges of abandoning animals and not properly caring for them.
Saverese was previously convicted of animal cruelty in 2008.
