Mizner Park in Boca Raton has seen several businesses close this year, including Truluck's, Uncle Julio’s, and Junior's.
But good news: a bowling alley just signed a new lease at Mizner Park.
Strike 10 will open up in the old Uncle Julio’s spot.
Linda Prowe Jackson said she and her friends come to Mizner every week and they were worried about the empty storefronts.
"We come to the Dubliner every Wednesday night for their $5 hamburger and we were wondering what would happen," Prowe Jackson said.
She adds it’s good news about the bowling alley.
Across the street from the future Strike 10 is Gramercy Salon, where owner Kristin Nelson said the bowling alley will add foot traffic to the area.
"In the evenings after restaurants, we have people pass by, but with some of the restaurants being closed we have noticed a pretty drastic dip from our first year in business," said Nelson.
She said Strike 10 is the perfect fit for Mizner because it is something different.
"I talked to the team and said maybe we should have a bowling team, it could be a lot of fun," said Nelson.
Strike 10 says on Facebook they are a luxury bowling experience but still family friendly.
They will have 10 lanes and two mini lanes along with a lounge and bar area.
Strike 10 is set to open in 2019.
The locations where Truluck's and Junior's were are still empty. The property manager Brookfield did not return a request for comment on Friday.
