ORIGINAL STORY:

The owner of a Bridal shop in Boca Raton says she is closing down. This comes after customers were trying to get ahold of the owner for weeks, wondering if they were going to get their dresses.

Brittany Burns owns a Bridal shop but sent out an email Monday nightsaying her store was closing and she was moving home with her family.

“I am one of the lucky ones,” Paige Vaniak said. She was able to find her dress.

“I showed up to pick up my dress for my confirmed appointment and it was closed,” she said.

For the last few weeks, brides have been unable to get ahold of Brittany Burns.

“I am not surprised she went MIA because after she owed me my last paycheck, I texted her several times to the point she blocked my number,” said former employee Nikki Mora.

Mora said she was shocked when she saw the story and is worried about people getting their dresses.

“There is enough stress involved with weddings, you shouldn’t be stressed about a dress,” said Mora.

Antonia's Alterations had a few dresses from the bridal shop. including Vaniak's.

“I don’t understand how the other girls are going to get in contact. I don’t know,” said Vaniak.

Antonia’s said they are willing to offer discounts if brides need help.

“I hope everyone gets their dresses and go on with their beautiful day,” said Zarouhi Tiratsugan with Antonia’s.

Burns spoke with WPTV and said allegations about her shop being closed for the last few weeks are false and she feels blindsided and devastated. She said she cares for her brides and will get them her dresses.

In her email she also said." ... I have set up an office with the purpose of receiving, inspecting, and lovingly packaging your orders. Just as before, you will be contacted the moment they arrive, and your wedding ensemble will be shipped to your doorstep free of charge, with insurance to protect your precious items."
