Brittany Burns Bridal in Boca Ratonsuddenly closed in February, leaving soon-to-be brides wondering if they were going to get their dresses. The owner said she was going to reopen in March, but so far neighboring shops say that hasn’t happened.

WPTV first broke the story last month when brides were frustrated and angry over the store’s sudden closing.

“We called many times, we sent emails but no response,” said one future mother-in-law in February.

“We went over to the bridal store and there was no one there,” added another bride.

The store was supposed to reopen this month. WPTV asked nearby shops if they have seen the bridal shop open.

“No, she has not been open and helping people,” said Vicki Soble who owns a nearby clothing store.

Brides have reached out to WPTV since the story in February; they said they are still trying to get their dresses from Brittany Burns Bridal.

“I see people coming to her door saying I have an appointment she is not showing up,” said Soble.

The store’s phone is disconnected and when WPTV tried to call Brittany, it went straight to voicemail.

“I don’t understand, she left 40 brides without their gowns; that is a lot of business,” added Soble.

The landlord said the rent is paid in full and that is not the issue. He said he will try and get involved in making sure the brides get the dresses they paid for.
