BOCA RATON, Fla. — All lanes of Interstate 95 in Boca Raton have reopened following a deadly crash overnight Tuesday.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the wreck happened at approximately 12:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes at Yamato Road.

Multiple southbound lanes were closed for hours, but they all reopened just before 6:30 a.m.

The FHP said a 39-year-old New York woman was driving a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica van at a "high rate of speed" behind a 2015 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R motorcycle, ridden by a 26-year-old Boca Raton man.

The motorcycle rider switched lanes and collided with the van.

The Boca Raton man, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the New York woman was not hurt, the FHP said.
