BOCA RATON, Fla. - Boca Raton police say a popcorn machine triggered a fire alarm at the Cinemark theaters in Boca Raton on Saturday, prompting an evacuation.
Officers also received reports of shots fired at the theater.
Officers cleared all theaters and said there is no indication that shots were fired.
The theater will reopen at approximately 7 p.m.
Initially police said someone pulled the fire alarm, but later clarified that it was set off by a popcorn machine.
