Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman will be in Boca Raton to speak in depth about her public and private life in front of a live audience.
Tickets are currently still available for purchase for the event, being held at Congregation B’nai Israel on November 8, 2018:
Raisman is known as captain of Team U.S.A.’s “Fierce Five,” the gymnastics team that raked in glory and fame with stunning medal-winning performances.
Led through questions by event moderator, WPTV NewsChannel 5 anchor Ashleigh Walters, Raisman will talk about her life. As an athlete, Raisman was on the world stage to overcome challenges with perseverance and determination. She is the published author of “Fierce,” which tells her personal story of the journey to gold medal fame.
Recently she made a victim impact statement against Larry Nassar, the former USA Gymnastics national team doctor now convicted in the sexual assault of more than 200 athletes. As a result, she has become a face of the “Me Too” movement.
During the event in Boca Raton, Raisman plans to share her feelings of courage, determination, and faith that have inspired generations of people.
